home.

So, I know you've been on edge about this.... class went really well. I didn't fumble over my words and I feel like my point was clearly expressed. I was very pleased.
Now I am home. Its finally hitting me that I'm away from everyone I love. My heart is currently with the people I spent my summer with in Conway. I really miss it.
The past few days have been a fog for me. Since I got home I've spent way too much time with my family and I have spent way too much time in my bed. I have been having a hard time functioning. Its kind of sad.
Ha. Yesterday I had lunch with the wonderful Amy Neil and she roped me into being a chaperon for my old youth group. I'm glad I went, but man it was so tiring. I was up all night... ridiculous....

Tomorrow I have to get 4 fillings in my teeth... not looking forward to it. UGHH! And then my family thought it would be funny to share their horror stories about the dentist... I'm really not excited about this. It actually makes me sick to think about them messing with my teeth. Not fun.

I will be teaching class in the morning. Its my last Sunday at UCC. I am very sad... & nervous. I haven't taught a Sunday morning class all summer. I pray that my lesson is well received and touches someone's heart. I really hope the teens at least listen to what I have to say.

packing up my heart.

I feel like I'm never in the same place for very long. It is kind of sad. People say "Home is where the heart is," but in all honesty my heart is torn in many different places. Since I've been in college I've spent significant time in Searcy, AR; Houston, TX; and Conway, AR. I have barely been in Springdale in the past 2 years since I graduated, and in all honesty I'm ok with that. I call Springdale "home" but I dread going back every time. My family is there and my 3 very best friends, but the other people that I run into there just make my life miserable. I hate how my past always gets brought back to focus when I go back there. I just want to run away as far from there as I can possibly get.
Right now my heart is breaking as I pack up my room in the Stinnett's home here in Morrillton, AR. I just wish there was another month in this summer. I'm not ready to leave these kids and the friends I have made. I'm so scared that once I leave then Mason may leave and then soon after Laura may leave. That breaks my heart. I don't want to just leave them. I feel like I have more to accomplish here. I feel like I haven't fully fulfilled my purpose here.

This summer has been full of wonderful and unexpected adventures!
I should probably mention that I can get my point across better with pictures than words about 95% of the time.

Adventure #1: SOUTH AMERICA!







Those are just a few of the sights. It was pretty wonderful! One of the really amazing things was that I got to share the experience with one of my dearest and oldest friends.

Adventure #2: INTERNING AT UCC!
Not going to lie, interning is probably the most rewarding thing I could have ever chosen to do with my summer. I have met some of the most interesting and wonderful people that I could ever have met. This is my second summer to be an intern, but my first summer with UCC. It has been wonderful! Not going to lie, I've had the best summer of my life here.








These kids bring me so much joy. :) I've loved every minute with them.

a time for everything..

It is time for me to make some changes. First change is the direction of my blog. I have decided that I am going to revamp my blog and actually keep up with it this time. I know, I've posted this same post before... but I feel like I am actually in a place where I can share my thoughts and ideas without being a depressed over dramatic teenager going through a slight rough patch that I'm turning into a big deal.
Summer is coming to a close and with this comes new opportunities. I am very excited about the direction my life is going and I hope that I can keep this optimism going. This are truly looking up.

God is so good.
